I saw your K5 today in my issue. I was slightly dissapointed in fourwheeler this month. There was a complete focus on trail oriented rigs, No clean, nice show rigs this month.

Trucks and Sport Truck have what you're looking for.

Cry me a river. Although maybee your right, a magazine called "Four Wheeler" should just have pavement pounding poser-mobiles in it:surepal: They already have WAY to much of that crap in it, which is why i dropped my subscription years ago.

Zk5, congrats to getting your truck in the mag, good to see a rig that actually gets used in it, I thumbed through it at the bookstore.

Thanks yall

Hey thanks for all the nice words yall. It is a pretty good feelin to have that happen to ya.

and for the rear body gaurds I got them from 4x4 Iron and attached them to my home built bumper. I had to do some cutting to them to work with the cut-outs but they worked out alright. Heres the link for that too body armor kit

diff cover

Yeah the diff covers are made by Trans-Dapt they're called clear gearz. They are a polycarbonate material and they cost about the same as polished alluminum ones only they claim to be stronger than a stock cover. I got em on the 14 bolt and the 60 with Royal Purple gear oil in em too, it does look pretty cool. :D I'm not sure if I'd run em if I didnt have them diff cages. But I tell ya it is realy nice when you're wonderin if you're axle took on water after the big water hole ya went thru cuz u can just get out and look.

No they don't. You are thinking of full on show hummers and crap on 49's with the complete truck dipped in chrome, no thanks.

:haha:

I prefer a mix of both wheelers and fixed up, clean, lifted trucks. I don't have the attitude that anything that isn't soley wheeled is junk. :) :p:

I agree. Four Wheeler has the nice 4wds, Petersons has the beat to hell yotas and such. And TRUCKIN' has nice trucks, but not what Bobby is talking about.

Yep, there is a difference between a "show" truck and a nice clean truck that someone has built to modestly look good but not goofy trying win the brightest reflection award.

Yeah, I could do without the poser pics too. I wanna see tech articles and capable rigs and custom mods. Personaly I like that jeeps and yotas have every mod under he sun availble to them, It gives us K5'ers something to be proud of.
Built, Not Bought!

PS I always get a kick out of Jeepers that say you can't wheel a full size, and then go and put full size dana axles's under em and extend the wheelbase.

hmmmm

END OF RANT

front shocks

Congrats, nice rig.

Your front shocks are upside down. They will not function correctly that way.

Well they may be upside down but they function just fine. If they were other side up then the lil hoses would constantly be getting torn off due to the ammount of shock travel vs all the slack of the hose flapping in the breeze. At first they were installed the other way, but when I added the in cab controls I flipped em over. I tried to find some literature from rancho about wich way the shocks should be installed and came up empty. They function the same as they did the other way and I've been running them for 3 years like that.
