Ok so i rewired new blinker sockets. My blinker and headlights work great. I threw in a new flasher relay just to be sure my short wasnt there. Problem is I still have no gauge lights, backlight to ac/heat controls, running/parking lights in the front or back. The whole time I'm thinking theres something wrong with my wiring harness and I'm pretty sure that when I cut the short circuited blinker socket out it burnt out half my brand new light switch.

I figure its gotta be that seeing as how my rear running lights arent working either.

Thoughts? Any duh, thats the first place to start comments?

I'd check the wiring diagram for the headlight switch before I blame it, as I recall they've got a circuit breaker in them that self resets, pretty unlikely part of the switch died.

Well if it self resets then shouldnt my stuff be working fine or by self resets do you mean I need to disconnect it and reconnect it?

I would bet its teh switch too. Headlight switches control too many circuits.....wierd stuff happens when they start going bad.

No, it self resets. I would be thinking more along the lines of a power feed to the switch or grounds. That's why I say check out the wiring diagram for a switch, and check the leads. I thought my switch was bad based on operation in my truck, checking voltage at the switch proved otherwise. Bad wire on the switch connector.

Well I replaced the switch and wahlah. I cant believe it managed to be that... Now I just need to put my entire cluster back together...
