I had my felts replaced at a local glass shop that does a good job. I just think maybe the installer hasn't dealt with older stuff. My driver side leaked a little bit during a hard rain, and my passenger side didn't leak at all.
Now the water just pours in. I think the glass isn't setting tightly against the bottom. The felts fit perfectly in the channel, and the glass fits snuggly in the felts.
Are these required to have water relief holes in them to drain like the originals did? Or would a solid felt channel cause the leaking? I know in the window frame they have drain holes and the new felts are solid with a metal u-channel to fit corners well.
I am just tired of water leaks and want it fixed, and no I am not putting solid windows in. I would never even consider it even though that may be the only fix.
