It probably wont be as eye catching as some, but it will be my pride and joy.

The day I purchased the truck (oh man I think it was Oct 05)

I will be picking up the rotors and soft lines for the break swap tomorrow and start grinding the 60 calipers to fit my 15's

I think the caliper brackets should be rotated by one more hole, so that the caliper is as close to vertical as possible.

Looks like you have the pinion angled on the jackstands, so I don't think it's going to change the bracket angle much when it's actually installed.

$.02

Why would you think I should mount the caliper vertical? I was going for as close to stock angle as I could get it with the brackets. I mean if it is for a performance reason it will take me 3 minutes to change em both.

Makes 'em easier to bleed for starters...bleeder screw faces straight up on mine.
I can gravity bleed my system,,,and never touch the brake pedal...:D

My truck is better off from far and far from better off. The p.o. did a horrible paint job on it. Overspray everywhere and there are runs and drips in many places, plus I dont think he took care of the surface rust before painting it. it will be sanded down and painted at some point, but I am more concerned with other things than paint right now.

Seeing those pictures of the 14-bolt drum brakes brings back memories, and reminds me I switched to disc. I'm not into mudbogging, but being from the Midwest all of our trails involve some sort of mud, and I had to clean and adjust the drums after every trip.

The caliper mounting bracket postion looks good, the same way I have mine. The stock fronts are not completely vertical, and wouldn't moving them down so they are vertical make the bleeder position worse?

The bleeder position is almost straight up. I would believe that to be best for getting all the air out. Now the wait game is on, I forgot to order my u-bolt kit and spring plates for the 60 so now i have a lil wait. I guess it's time to straighten up the garage (make the wife happy.)

Looking good man! I would have washed some of that mud off the frame before I started that project though! - Less dirt in the eyes nose and mouth ;)
