Gonna be doing a lot of welding in the near future, so started with the obligatory 1st project... Not bad from an old bed frame.

:waytogo: Nice job. What's the radiused tank cradle made from?

Also, what machine's going on it?

Nice Im building mine at some point soon too, nice job on the tank holder, I havnt figured out how I want to do mine yet.

Is it powder coated? Looks like it, nice job man.

Aaahh.. the tank holder. Bought a HF welding cart a while back, and it was so flimsy that this is the only part I used. The cart will be carrying a Lincoln SP-125 Plus, and is painted Rustoleum Orange.

I bought an HF welding cart for my plasma/tig combo. For $50 bucks I could have made a much better cart. I didn't even install the POS castors it came with. Installed a larger heavier set.

:haha:Thats exactly what I did!! Took one look at the casters and tossed em in the scrap pile. Was that the grey cart made of tin and pot metal bolts?

The one I have is blue. The sheet metal is ok. Yes the bolts are a joke.

Building a new cart is on the list.

I know exactly which one you're talking about... we snagged one to put our Powermax 1250 Plasma on and it was a joke... I basically used the uprights and the shelves but made a new base with a wider stance and bigger casters... it was a good starting point but honestly the cart out of the box is a joke.
