So this was a build that I have wanted to do for a long time. I have just started and there will be lots of photos and updates to come. Here's the beginning. This started out as a very rusty 86 k5 blazer. I searched and search on Craigslist and found this 85 3/4 ton cab. These cabs are no joke! Freaking heavy!!! All the wiring has been disconnected. And ready for the body pull.

OK, so I got the body on but I need to wait on my new body bushings to come in before I bolt the body down. I will post pics up in the morning. On another note I took a trip down to my local 4 wheel parts store and I saw this sitting out front. See pics.

OK so I got the new cab on but not bolted down yet. I mainly worked on the wiring inside the cab and shortening the gas fill neck along with cleaning up the frame of unnecessary crud.

Cool build, love the orange and white color combo. I'm sure paint is a ways off :D

OK so no progress on the truck today but I did bring home some goodies;) First up is a 3/4 ton rear axle, gears unknown. Second on the list is a sm465 with a 10 spline. And last but not least is a 10 spline np205. I picked up all 3 for $100. Ill clean them up this weekend and crack them open to check the condition. That's all folks.. for now.

Ok so it's been a slow week due to work. But I did get my body mounts in from summit racing and I ordered a new windshield from safelite. They glass was put in at my place and the installer did an amazing job. My son is my right hand man. He wants to be a grease monkey also;)

Did you get the bellhousing, pedals, linkages, adapter, coupler, shifter, etc for that transmission?

Yeah, that $100 was not a great deal then. You didn't get ripped off, but you need a lot of parts for that swap yet.
