just finishing up my build and wanted to get my truck weighed. Headed up to the local dump to have them weigh me.

No gas, but heavy bike rack on back

1 tons
38s
Full diy4x rear bumper and 37 spare
Full rollcage
Sliders
A bomb and winch
LS 6.0 swap

Not sure where all the weight is coming from but I am at 6360!!!!!

I came in at 5000lbs with just enough interior to drive the thing, (not sure I even had a passenger or rear seat in it) pretty identical drivetrain as in my sig, except I had a 10 bolt rear at the time.

I somewhat questioned that scale reading, but a car being driven by my buddy weighed 3400lbs on the same scale, right after me, and that's a believable weight.

Seems about right. I found a pirate thread awhile back on chevy weight. Most people chimed in with 6000 pounds including big tires, cages, one tons and the regular odds and ends. You have a pretty well complete interior. A friend of mine has a taco double cab, one tons and 40s and he weighed in at 5800...just the reason I picked chevy. Id like to hit the scale when my truck is back up and going.

Yea I guess I am not that shocked. I do have dual batteries and the interior is pretty finished. Bench seat, center console, huge lockbox. Still. That is heavy.

I did find the thread on pirate and many guys were pushing 7k. The burbs were close to 9k.

Hory sheet.

Yeah the little odds and ends add up quickly. In all reality though id much rather have my heavy v8 powered truck compared to my friends taco. Im passing him on hills....towing 8klbs lol.

When I broke down and got abandoned on a trail, it was an eye opening experience on weight. I never thought my heavy truck would cause so much trouble. Just have to make sure im dead reliable now so I can do the towing!

6555 without passengers. And I am on little axles and 35 inch tires. Cage, many shocks and the tubing to mount them plus tools and a full interior add up quickly. But mine balances out at 100 pounds heavier on the front axle than the rear. So air time is fun.

My '82 K2500 with a 6.2,TH400,NP208 ,weighed in a 6,250 lbs empty at the scrapyard last time I hauled in some junk...the '77 K2500 I had also weighed within 100 lbs of that too...that had a 400SB and TH350,NP205..it went up to 6,550 with the channel iron flat bed I made for it..

Mine's over 6k and I don't even have 1-tons or a cage.

My 72 K5 weighed 5900 with winch, cage, and spare on 1 tons/37s

Stock everything my 77 K10 weighed 4700, no spare. Both on same certified scale

My Cobra 427 weighs 2500lbs:

The last time I had one the scales it weighed 6,640 I think. I know for sure it was 6,6xx lbs.
It's on one tons, bumpers, winch, 37" hwmmv wheels and tires with PVC inserts (not the runflats), a full size spare with the run flat in, it had the soft top on, a full tank of gas, my wife, 2 kids, and myself.
