I just got this flatbed trailer (7000lb rated dual brake axles) and my blzer just had the tranny hooked up and dialed in (700r4). Next is:
exhaust
tubing (tie cage to suspension)

stuff:
700r4 built to the hilt
np208:eek1:
dana 60 with ARB 14bolt with Detroit
4 link coilover front and rear by randyellisdesign.com (this is the same frame and suspension I had under my previous 85 k5. I just slapped a different tub on it.
11.16 michelin xls

Note:
the body is purely for mock ups
I plan on running the 2006 fiberglass update
pic03.jpg

kit from McNeil Racing and probably 2006 huge flared bedsides from BOATEC fiberglass or glassworksunlimited.com
http://www.glassworksunlimited.com/shop/product_image.php?imageid=51

All of the glass will be removable for xtreme stuff

The plan:
a sleeper... kind of.... prerunner/rockcrawling/sand/ dirt whatever. I really want to use the 74 top I have and use the removable bedsides to somehow hold it up.

Looks pretty cool, whats the diameter of those michelins? i really how they look on your truck

the michelins are a true 38 inch tall tire, The wheel base is stretched actually (about 8 inches). Makes all the difference in the world too.

man, where did you get those michelins and how tall over stock is it with the coilovers???

i got the michelins from govliquidation. I have two sets. 6 of them still have stickers on them never used. With my coilovers i'm thinking its about a
4 - 6 inch lifted truck. I cannot attest to the tires yet but a mtnman bought some from me and he loves them

i bought (I think) 11. for around $400. Some of them were pretty good. Out of that set I got 4 really good ones (two of em' were brand new).
I sold all but these 4 and I kept another decent one for a spare.
Then I picked up another set for $300. They were completely new.

they can be bought from www.boyceequipment.com for under $200 a piece. You can also find them on ebay.

thats not too bad of a deal, but whys your lf on backwards??
and at boyceequipment, someone is HIGH... stoned on brake cleaner...
525 bucks to add a govlok to an already 1400 dollar 14bff HAHAHAHA or 2400 bucks for a d60 front...sick sick people... but those tire prices arent bad... what's the technical size listing for your michys?

it was mounted on the rim backwards...

yeah, the guys at discount tire mounted two of the tires backward. I havent had them fix it yet because I dont like the offset on the rims and they ordered me new ones. Supposedly, they should be here already. I'll have them switch the two tires then.
Boyce is expensive but...they are usually reasonable for smaller items like tires.

The NP208 is a junk case. You need to remove it immediately for your own good and Marv or myself will be on hand to help you get rid of it. :haha:

Harley

P.S. It looks good. I like the look and am glad to see you will be back on the trails again sometime soon & hopefully so will I.

If the truck is going to be a trail truck and see very little street use I would have them mount all the tires on the rims backward so you are getting better forward bite on the tires. Most of the directional tire manufactures recommend that you don't run them on the street in the wrong direction but for offroad use alot of guys do it with the X-terrains & Claws & stuff.

Harley

they look like they might bite better backwards, but id bet they worked fine forward with some grooving

Looks good!!! :D :D :D

Let see some more pics of the rear set-up...:wink1:

seems we had the same luck, the tie shop I went to mounted 2 wrong, then I took them back to get swapped, they got put back on the rim the right way, but the next morning another tire tech redid it facing the other direction thinking they had not got done the day before..

I pick them up, get them back to the shop and was a little frustrated..then finally got it done right a day later..just crazy:haha:

I really like the tires juan, seem to do just fine, but they have only been run on a couple florance trails and couple other easy trails, but so far I like them. drive real nice on the street too.

as for the fiberglass front, I am on the fence about it still, I think it would look funny with these tires, is that why you are changing your rims out?

what back spacing are you going for? if you wind up getting this let me know, also I still have alot of pics of all the tube behind the fenders I never posted if you want them.
