i can kinda get them on my new crate motor, but the intake wouldn't go on without taking them off, and now they hit, but jsut a bit...so im gonna get a dremel and trim them a bit. neither my moroso high covers, nor the factory Goodwrench covers fit. the intake is a made in china special, and i odn't have the extra mulah for a edelbrock right now. anybody else had this happen???

get 2-- 5/16 gaskets and glue them together.

Makes one wonder how well the runners line up with the head :eek1: :eek1: :eek1: . I'd look for a thick set of valve cover gaskets too.

are you sure that theyre goin on the right way, right side up? stupid question but most "Stock" gm covers dont have the cutouts for the higher rise intakes like yours. pull em off and see if they were on correct.

yeah, they are on good. i took the dremel and trimmed just a tad, and i mean a tad off the covers, and they're sealing WAAAY better, they were some old ****ty covers, so if it seals good and doesn't leak, then ill do it to my good ones. the runners on the intake line up good, but im sure it could be better. im gonna get an edelbrock manifold before long. :) thanks ya'll.

*cough* AIRGAP PERFORMER *cough*:haha: '

seriously its one hell of an intake about 500xs better than the chitty stock one.
