MY VIN....its weird

I went and looked at my vin this morning just because i wanted to search it... so this is what i got CKL148Z144871.. looks like a normal vin to me. ive checked this and double checked this. then had my wife go look at it.
now i dont know where the hell this "Z" comes from Ive googled it and still no answer.. here is what i am compairing it to... and it gives no reference to the " Z" .. i got this VIN from my door sil is it different there???

My Chilton's book lists 'Z' as "GMAD Freemont CA"

Chuck's page is wildly inaccurate at times, as it depends on what book you get info from. I average several books before I believe them

My notes say "Fremont" for Z, but don't list where; I'd believe Rene.
