I torqued a pair of 2" spacers on my 'burb yesterday ( just before the fearsome Winter Storm PAX hit:whistle:) and instantly fell in love with the loss of the forklift stance. Even better was the stability it gave to my beast, which is in dire need of body mount bushings and shocks, and the better handling in snow since I'm not 4W capable this winter. Now I wanna go drifting Maryland style:waytogo:

I put spacers front and rear on my jimmy. Now the tires are even with the bushwhacker cut out flares. I love the look and feel.

I used 1.5 inch spacers to match the width of the front axle. I definitely like the look, especially with the bigger tires.

Anyone have a link to spacers they'd recommend to even out a 1973 K10 with a D44/12b combo?

I'll try to get some pics uploaded as soon as I'm done with my current starter/flywheel mystery and I'll wrack my brain to recall where I bought the spacers, they'd been laying around since last spring before I finally bolted them up.

IF I can increase my " toy/workbeast allowance" I want to order some widened steel rallys (love that pure Chevy look) and those spacers will let me tweak the offset to a tubbed look along with the wider stance. I think a pair of 15x12s with 33x12.50s on the rear will look almost like the ultrawides that are replacing dual tires on big rigs:waytogo:. Eventually I'm going for a "muscle car-slash-ultimate workbeast w/military undertones" result. Being self employed construction I figure it will be it's own advertisement and reactions will range from "Wow you built THAT?" to "Get that thing out of my driveway" :haha:either way it will be memorable.

How wide are those tires? and what are the back spacing measurements on the wheel?

It almost looks like a truck about to lose an axle now, to me. I had thought about putting spacers on mine because of the H2 wheel backspacing, and I know now I won't be going THAT wide with them. :D

I'd think twice before you did that. It will look goofy. Like a Volkswagon.

This is a 31x10.5x15" on a 15x10" rim.

Good point. Although I was thinking of wider rims on the rear only. I was also thinking about replacing my rear ( the rear rear:whistle:) 3.42s with 3.73s and running a size smaller height tire on front , yeah I gotta do the math for the exact ratio change. Like I said....muscle car/workbeast mashup. One crazy idea leads to another  I'll most likely do 33x12.50 on a 10 wide rim in back and 31x10.50 on 8 wide up front. If it DOES end up silly looking you guys can have all the "I Told Ya So" creds

I just like wider everything to get that look :D But I still like the rear narrower that the front.

Pic whore

Sounds like a recipe for disaster and silly looks.

Back spacing is 4" and the tires are 12.5". I am going to eventually swap for some rims with 2" back spacing and drop the spacers.

Don't worry too much :D My A.D.D will probably have me changing my plans before I get that far.

That narrow rear reminds me of the hoppers on the back of supply trucks. I guess GM had reasons for designing it that way but I've never seen a forklift I'd call BADASS
