My wipers are acting stupid....

Has anyone had a problem with their wipers turning on by themselves and the only way to stop them is shutting off the truck? Only started happening today.
Just went out to check them....Working fine for now.
I figure it's the switch....But after seeing the price $181 + ship...I want to make sure. There also is a " Wiper motor pulse board module " available too.....I'm guessing this might have more to do with the intermittent wipers.
Anyway, let me know if anyone else has had this problem.
This is a 2000,Chevy, 1 ton, diesel, with cruise control.​

I had something similar happen a few months ago. I replaced my washer motor, and it did not fix the problem. I pulled all connections off the motor and cleaned the plugs, then I climbed under the dash, and cleaned all washer related connectors, and somehow everything started working right again.

I know that it sounds crazy, but it worked for me. Took about 2 hours to do all that. I scratched my head in confusion, but I'm sure I saved more than a few dollars worth of labor/troubleshooting at the auto shop.
