Hey guys I've been working on an '84 GMC shortbed for the better part of 6 months now and it's coming along slowly but surely. The PO had all but destroyed this truck mechanically and interior wise. I had to pull the 305 out and replace it with a 4 bolt main 350, the gears have been replaced with 4.56's and it now sports some 35's on aluminum wheels. The PO for some unknown reason had replaced the 700r4 with a turbo 350 so I had to undo that and numerous other junkified alterations, but all in all, I've pretty much resurrected her. The first pic is after I first got her and just swapped the electric doors for some good old manuals. The next pic is after a 4 inch superlift all spring. And the last pics are after I got her out of paint this past Monday. She's not done yet, but definitely getting closer. Now I"ve got to start concentrating of the interior. Let me know what you guys think cause all my inspirations have come from this site!!!

Hey guys, thanks for all the compliments. I'm really trying to get her back in prestine condition. As far as my plans, well, just some light wheeling back and forth to the deer blinds. Until my son starts driving which should be in a little over a year (God help us all). Here's a shot of the interior after laying down some of RAAMaudio's RAAMmat BXT. I would post a link but I don't have enough posts. Just google it if you're interested. This stuff is very comparable to Dynamat but not quite as expensive. It definitely made a hell of a difference to the interior noise. I'll keep you guys posted if I reach any more milestones.
