Mystery Tranny

While I was at Pick n pull today i came across a chevy with a manual tranny that I have never seen before. The truck was a early 80s 1/2 ton 2wd. the tranny was a manual but i cant remember what the shift pattern was. im pretty sure it was R L 1 2 3 OD (Reverse in the top left). I just cant remember about the low gear. Instead of the circular rod style shift lever it was flat. and it did look like a factory GM shifter knob on it. Does anyone know what tranny this is? and is it worth me going back to grab? I do plan on building up a nice street truck one day so maybe this is the tranny i would want for it?

MOPAR 4 speed OD tranny. Not very durable. I looked at a 2wd C10 a while back and asked about it on here. Decent for a DD but not much else. The trucks weren't even rated to tow much at all with those trans.

that is an a833 w/ od. No granny, wide ratio...

Ahhh so thats what that trans was in the trailer of the guy that bought my 700r4. I was like whats that out of? A chevy he says. I go o really, I've never seen one like that before.
