I’m repairing a leaky power steering pump or may replace it depending on how much. My issue is I’m not sure if it’s off the original engine (1986 305) or the engine that was swapped in (1976 350). Can someone tell me which one this is? Maybe a model or part number so I can order the parts. Thanks y’all!!

You would reuse your pulley and brackets with a new or reman pump. I believe the only difference is how the high pressure line seals. Look at yours and see if it’s a flare fitting or o-ring seal. If it’s o-ring it’s 86. Flare would be 76 I think. Not sure the exact year if change but want to say around ‘80

x2 .

same pump also if serp belt or v-belt .

if new pump just get one with the tank on it already i dont even try and fight them anymore they can suck .

some pumps you need to swap hardware so do NOT return core at time of purchase or you might get screwed . wait till all in and done .

wheels off ground . engine off . fill 3/4 full and turn the wheel slow back and forth . check and refill as needed and cycle wheel until no more level drop . then fire up for 10-15 sec and shut off . recheck fluid level add as needed . refire and let run and check fluid level and add as needed . turn wheel back/forth and check fluid . once level stays the same on cap dip stick you good to go .

DO NOT fill and just fire and bleed system . foamy air bubble fluid kills pumps and voids warranty . tag in box will say this also .

Turns out it was the 86 thanks for yalls help I just went ahead and ordered a new one. No core required woohoo!!
