cant remember what this is.
driver side, between 1 and 3 cylinder exhaust ports.

oil pressure?

Sounds like the water temp sensor for the gauge.

oh, mine is hooked up by the water neck. which location is better?

I prefer the head location. Whats the sensor that is there now look like? Could be a knock sensor though its likely a stock temp sensor.

well its on a 1970 engine so i dont think its a knock sensor. im installing new electric guages so thats why i was wondering

on most if not all of the chevy sbc I have helped buddies pull and seen in junk yards, in that locations it is always a water temp sensor.

67 older temp sender iis in intake up front, 68 up is in cyl head between the cylinders yep

80-up in intake is for carb, some have it and some dont,
depend son EST or ESC and the year and make and model too, i know 86 305 trucks have it in intake and is one black wire from it to carb, it is an extra control in the carb that others dont have

there are several minor variations of the EST and ESC systems 80-86(passenger cars and 1/2 tons/carb systems)
