Its some type of old Warn winch.

Anyone have an idea. Its sitting in a 70's style bronco and my friend wants 20 bux for it, but i bet i could get it for free if i bother him enough.

What does it look like to you??

the sticker is all gone.

:D its not worth unbolting......

Really,id snag that thing up.Even if it needs a full rebuild, you will be money ahead.
Even in its oldest form a WARN 8274 is the winch the rest try to live up to.

I have seen a 8274 pull stuff that stalled 12k winches, they pull faster than you want to walk also.....

OK whats the issue?? You said you may be able to get it for FREE!! Those old Warns are great!! Fixing it will most likelly cost alot less than a new winch.

i didnt know anything about old warn winches. i wasant sure if it was worth fixing or not.i was just wondering if it would be of any use to me after i get it working is all

thanks for the help guys :D

From the pic I'd say it is NOT an 8274. More likely its an 8200 or a Bellvue. Check to see if it has power out or only freespool out. For $20 its worth it either way.

Looks like a Bellevue(search Pirate) it is predecessor to the 8274. It was controlled from the cab by cable and not electrically. Still worth it for free or $20. There maybe a write up to convert to electric controls.
