Time to change the gear oil in my NP205 under the '72 Blazer.

I would like to hear from the brothers what their preference is for fluid replacement.

Thanks.

I'd like to nominate our quantum blue gear oil.. we can blend any weight you prefer, and you'll get the same benefits of our motor oil: wear reduction , a corresponding friction reduction, and a fluid which is shear and viscosity stable to 6,000 degrees. Oh, yeah, there's a temp reduction as well.. and our oils have no affinity for mositure, so if you leave the thing sit, it won't hurt you.

If you haven't yet, check out my vendor thread and websites..we've got large diesel engines in some extreme applications going ten thousand hours or more beyond the specified rebuild intervals.. CAT would like to see us on a milk carton, that's for sure.

I use the cheap oriley brand 90w120 since I often do water crossing and change the fluid all ever few months.

x2

I live in the desert but always seem to end up finding a mud hole. Then i'm super paranoid about water in the oils and change all of them out.
