Tail shaft seal for back of transfer case?
Yes, I'm guessing they gave me one for an S10 Blazer or something. But they had to order it, I sure hope they can get me the right one quick. Otherwise I have to move my truck out of the way and have it sit at work until I get the right one. Ugh.

Yeah, back since '77 when we moved to San Diego. Every Sunday after church me and Dad plopped down in front of the TV. Air Coryell.
Plus, I live in Vegas. Each week I do a couple $5 parlays, hoping one hits. So far I have broken even, which isn't bad.
Figures they always give that one out seems like 99% of tail shaft i have replaced over 20 yrs are not the one they gave you.

Yep. At least it didn't happen mid-summer when it's 110 around here.
Stupid thing is, I went home, typed in the info on my truck, and up pops the correct one. I wrote it down, handed it to the guy at NAPA, and he went and got it.

Had a similar experience today, trying to get some U-bolts to reinstall my rear axle, called 4 different parts stores that I knew for sure sold "universal" U-bolts because I had seen them in the store before. Just wanted to verify that they had the size and width that I needed, well not one person that I spoke with knew what a U-bolt was and told me they either had none or they tried to sell me U-joint straps. I ended up hanging up with the last store after being on hold for 10 minutes while the guy checked his "system" and just drove to the store, there the U-bolts were, right at the front of the store, when I checked out the guy was like, "hey didn't you call earlier, it was like the line went dead"... Talk about air headed folks.
