OK, its not for a 4 wheel drive but its still fun! 42.5" WMS - WMS. Tires are like some 21" wide under a 3rd gen camaro.

Looks like alot of work! Do you have to custom order axle shafts or do they sell them in custom shorter lengths that you build around?

The place I get shafts from I just tell them all the dimensions they need and they whip em up. Pretty much has to be that way with all the wheel offsets and widths and things you run into doing these cars for drag racing. I'll post some more pics when I get it further along. Coming together good so far.

I may want to give you some business. If I buy this Malibu tomorrow it's gonna get a 9" f**d. What kind of prices are you getting on the shafts?

I get a little bit of a brake on the shafts but its not huge by any means. I think its due to the custom nature of every shaft.

I take it that is for the Maro in your shop, how is it coming along?

It's coming along well. pretty much have the axle hung. I hope to be setting it on the floor soon! Then its on to the 12 pt. cage and floor pans.

Your American dollar goes a lot further over here, and I could help out with shipping for you guys. I get all my axles through Bear's for all the 9", 12 bolt, 8.75" and dana 60's I narrow for guys.

What gears are going to be run in it? Since it looks like a serious racing piece, guessing then it's got a spool in it, right? Or at least a Detroit Locker.

Not sure exactly on the ratio yet, I think he'll have several 3rd members set up for different ratios. All spooled.

Removable 3rd member axles are such a beautiful thing. Bet some drag racers have the motto "And on the 8th day God created the Ford 9'!"
