Narrowing, or tapering and dovetailing? IDK about overall narrowing but, I've seen a lot of rigs on here that were tapered and dovetailed.

Are you looking to narrow the tub as well? or just the front and rearend?

Our club president. He didn't know where to stop either:haha:

I need to see more pictures of that!! especially the interior. I want to do that some day to a suburban and make it a two seater with f/r steering rocks on 44"+ tires

IMO: narrowing is just the front, dovetailing is just the back.

I'm not sure how to describe making the whole thing more "narrow" other than describing that you narrowed the whole thing.

Here's one of my favorites (look at the bottom of the page)

There are others (SCOOBYDAN sp? comes to mind), and then there a some like mine that are basically buggys.

It all depends on what you want to do. I was just going to lightly narrow and dovetail my truck.

While deciding how to install the tube for the cage I decided that the (metal) top would interefere with the cage so off it went. Then I realized that I could boatside it pretty easily. Then the windshield frame was too wide and had to go, and before you know it you're building a buggy :doah:

Gabe thats what I am looking 4. Did you cut from the middle and suck it all inward or cut the outside off and remount the lights? Also were did you get tha FAT tie rod?

I got rid of my core support all togeather. I built a square tube frame to mount the radiator to. Took two bars off of that back to the firewall. I left the bolt holes in the front and rear and made short little arms going out to the fender with tabs on them to bolt the fenders on. I made them out of 3/4 black pipe. on the rear the fender is bolted at the top and middle and the lower portion is held in place with little flat plates welded to my sliders. I will get some pics of all this stuff this weekend when I do my top chop and fuel cell.
gabe

Oh and I made the Tierod with 2inch 1/2 wall... we had it left over from a four link build. I just bought inserts and jam nuts and welded the sucker. Its beefy
