I was driving to the parts store when I saw this suburban with late model mirrors. Probably 99-07 mirrors. Had to stop and take a few pics, talked to him a little bit. He said his father had it done down in Houston. They just use it for a farm truck now. Looks to be plastic/lexan glass replaced. Mirror bolted to it, and another piece of lexan to trim it up some on the inside. Sorry I couldn't get better pics, all I had was my phone and I was in a hurry to get parts to fix my air compressor to finish trimming our bedroom.

Id rather have the vent windows. They are one of my favorite things about these old rigs

Dueling nailed it. Not willing to sacrifice the vent windows. I thought the same thing about the 1-piece window conversion kits. All that money just to lose one of the best traits. Made no sense to me.

Also, call me crazy, but the stock wing mirrors are just part of the classic look in my opinion. I know there are better mirrors, but it's just not on my to-do list.

All that said, it appears to be a good looking square body and if that guy digs it, more power to him.

I think they look fine and work better than originals. I can't stand folding my chrome ones in (or having them fold in for me going around trees etc) and then having to re-adjust. I don't use my vent windows very much, but then again I haven't had full doors on it some time.

If I went through the trouble of putting a different mirror on, I'd go with the towing mirrors again. OMG are they great with my tube doors. When I attempt the swap with my full doors, I'll do my best to keep the vent windows functional.

Are the wires snaked down into the vent window channel? It's hard to tell by the pic. But to put on late model mirrors and not run them as power adjustable would be dumb. Ever try to adjust broken ones manually? The only thing I don't like about the stock mirrors is getting the passenger one adjusted right after having folded it in or something.
