IN the 86 blazer, new crate motor, sm465,205 while driving at just about any speed, sometimes the truck will jolt or hesitate and cause a jolt. The carb is a quadrajet. So my thoughts are a fuel delivery issue? Maby a clogged fuel filter?

I dunno I just dont want to go down a mile long list of fixing what is not broke, so I thought I would inquire to the folks who would know or may have had he same situation.

-Thanks

8 bucks? Nah, prolly about .99 cents.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah, bad fuel and/or air filters can cause this. Also a bad plug wire that fires intermittently (amoung other things). Let me know if you need any help......is this the blue 86 that you sold?

Check the fuel issues, as mentioned.

My Suburban always had a random jerk/hesitation, but only when the motor was lugging. It turned out to be a spark plug that I had dropped before installation. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

The crew cab started out having a slight jolt every once in a while. It eventually got so bad it started backfiring. Turned out to be the carb was in need of a rebuild.
