Ok so I used the search button... but didnt find what I was looking for...

for some reason my high beam switch is mounted where the clutch smacks it if you push all the way down... since I have a mechanical clutch no biggie as the clutch catches almost all the way up. Now when I drove my parts truck (85 jimmy) into my driveway I noticed the clutch catches say 2-3" off the floor... so this will not be good as it will hit my high beam switch.... ok so move it over and will have no problems.

While taking the clutch pedal assembly and hydro clutch stuff out... I realized that this 1985 steering column, meant for a manual, with wipers and high beams on the column would look awefully dayum nice in my truck...

my truck was a 2wd cab that I converted to 4wd (cut hump out and bolted mine in as 2wd humps are not boltins and 4wd are) and also was an automatic to which I converted to manual. Popped the pin out of the column for the shifter.

so with the column out and pouring rain I decided to look at the column. high beams actually may just unplug from the floor and plug straight into the column as the plug looks the same. However the wipers will be different.

So with all that winded explenation.... anyone have a diagram of the steering column on a 1985 or a link to the color codes of each the wipers for a 78 & 85 (may be the same as I havent looked into that yet)

plus this conversion will make a nice addition as high beams on the column are easier to get to and wipers on the dash flat out sucks when trying to reach for them, turn the wheel and shift at the same time!!!!!!! :haha:

Then when I click on the links on that page I get this res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/http_404.htm#http://brochures.slosh.com/wiring/84 chassis 1.pdf ..

The 1st link brings up the page fine but when I try to click on the links on that page it says ''The Page Can Not Be Found'' ?

Just thought I would let you know..
