I'm lookin for pictures of rear 4 link setups for K5's or 80's chevy pickups.

Post em if ya got em

Please do, I'd like to see how that turned out. Did ya go with the 1/4 elliptic springs?

I went with front coils from a TJ.

I avoided the 1/4 elliptic because it would be hard to fit with my setup (I had planned on mounting the springs under the frame) and because the shackle setup would be complex (i.e. would involve a fair amount of fabrication and could potentially inhibit uptravel, plus the shackle/spring would probably be too tall and would hit the frame).

We'll see how it works out, I need to flex it out and see how it works. I know that the coils will drop out of the coil buckets so I need to figure out a good way to make sure they find their way back into the upper coil bucket (they're tied down on the lower part). I'm also sort of afraid that they'll be too soft (they're the HD TJ springs and are still only ~165 lbs/in :doah:)

Coilovers are the obvious answer but they cost tons of $$. I'm pretty sure I can get the TJ coils to work. Pics tomorrow.

Its not totally done (I need to add some more gussets, fix brake lines, etc.) and I'm doing a writeup on this, so these pics here are pretty minimal but:

The reason I ditched leaf springs:

This one didn't come out very well but it's supposed to give you an idea of where the lowers mount on the frame:

I was thinking about using 2"lift 1987 skyjacker bronco coils for mine. How far did you move the axle back? I was thinking moving mine about 8-10". What size tube did you use? I am thinkin' about using 2.25" DOM for the lowers and 1.75" for the uppers.

I moved the rear axle 4" back.

I used 2.0" .250" wall DOM for the lowers and 2.0" .120" wall DOM for the uppers.
