my belt shredded so I don't have an original.

The belt my local store gave me is 994mm (I think)when I put it on it will only follow the Non ac path, missing the idler pulley below the ac, but is too long and flops around hitting the missed pulley.

I took it back and it it the right size according to there computer, and matches others boxes so it is not a mixed up box.

Here ya go. Hopefully Stickseler posts up the same info. If you can't read the number on the belt it is NAPA 25-060956 (956mm??). This is from my parts truck (see sig).

geay.

I just grabbed my box, and it is 955k6 prestone belt.

how do you measure a serpentine belt, end to end, or do you do it around? seams like to would be longer that way....:dunno:

what friggen belt do I need? I'll go grab a pic..... man it is cold out.. BRB

ok lets see if you can see how the belt is routed

I seem to be following the NON ac, which would not be so bad, but the looseness of the belt I am sure will catch up with me...

Yep, its 18 outside, and the keyboard on my wife laptop is a pita..

Anyhows, no luck brother, My belt was all black and I couldn't see any markings. and I cant turn the motor, batts been dead since october

My motor is out of a 93 suburban but has the same routing sticker and had air.

I am using Napa Micro-V AT

Part #060966 so I guess its a 966 mm

It says 25 above that part #

on the back of the box it says 13/16" x 97 1/8" OC

20 mm x 2468 mm OC

I thought belts were always measured by pulling on two ends and measuring between, kind of like if you had 2 pulleys and one was on a slider and you pull away from each other. Most auto parts stores have a tool to measure.

i just went outside and took a look at my belt on my 89 blazer. The belt is a K060956 which is 21mm wide x 2440mm long (.826") x (96.06")

Don't you hate it when the simple questions don't have simple answers? I just went and checked the project truck - no visible markings on the belt. I think the PO painted it. :doah:

Both my trucks have the same routing as your sticker (the with ac part).

Maybe if you loosen up the tensioner above the water pump pulley, you will have enough slack to go to the other side of the idler below the ac compressor. :dunno:

Take a piece of string and route it the way the belt is supposed to go. Cut off the excess string. Then take that string to the auto parts store and hopefully the guy behind the counter will be cool enough to let you come in the back and match it up tho their available belts. Then buy a couple belts that are close to the correct size, bring em back home and try them out, when you find one that works for ya just return the other belts you didn't need.

My brother did this after he put a March serp conversion on his 454.
