On the rear of the frame, right where it levels out behind the wheel well... is the measurement from top frame rail to bottom frame rail the same as it is at the back of the frame? I think its different on a 2wd, but need to confirm that its the same on a 4x4. Hopefully that makes sense....

Thanks!

EDIT: here's a pic of what I need:

Is that the frame from ur k5? If it is where did u get that fuel tank? I have been looking for something like that to go in the rear of my k20 and do away with the saddle tanks. I like how that one is aluminum and it has the mounting tabs so that the cross members are not necessary.

Thanks 72blazerguy. Can anyone else confirm?

No thats not mine just a pic of the rear section of the frame. There are a couple of vendors on 67-72chevytrucks.com that build fuel cells.

I can check for you tonight AJ. I want to get in the garage as early as possible after work.

Looks like I got about the same measurements
Behind WW - 4 1/2"
Behind shackle - 4"

I managed to get to the shop real quick tonight to measure. Mine are about in line with yours... 4.7" right behind the back of the wheel well bend. And 4.2" right in front of the rear crossmember.

Thanks guys!
