While cleaning up some minor issues on my engine, I discovered a bolt broken on the AC support bracket. This bolt goes thru the compressor and screws into the front part of the bracket, and the head of the bolt has female threads tapped into it. At some point the bolt that screws into the head and is one of the belt adjustment bolts was broken off. After removing the bolt, I found an easy out broken off in the bolt. Does anyone of you guys that has removed your AC have one of these bolts you would sell? I would do a junk yard, but the closet is 70 miles away.

Here it is:

It measures 3.75" from the washer to the end of the bolt
Overall length is 4.25"
The male thread is 11mm X 1.50
I belive the female thread in the end is also 11mm X 1.50

The "washer" is made on the bolt, and the head of the bolt is tapped to be a nut.

If you have both the long bolt and the one that screws into the end, I would be happy to buy them.
Thanks!

gunna search the garage

but what year is this off of? It doesn't sound familiar but then again I haven't taken any bolts out of AC compressors, just brackets off the engine etc. My closest junkyard is 4 miles from me, next is about 30 miles, then 40. Of course the furthest one is best since it's in the getto next to a seaport. :doah:

humor me and take a pic of where it came from too. I wont be the only one looking for you, it should help for anyone else too. :waytogo:

going out to look now, I'm going serpentine setup and have all that stuff "stored" in the blazer cab. brb

PS> mine is off an '85, hope the brackets are the same
