LMC sells a black plastic folding cup holder. I bought 4 of them for my rig and they work perfectly. The top opening adjusts to a wide range of bottles/cups and they are about $10.
A quick look at LMC's website, and I couldn't find them. I ordered them about 3 years ago. Heres a very similar one on Ebay:

I have those on my Goldwing and they work like crap. The upper "arms" don't stay closed and it bounces like crazy.
That being said, they have a lot better ones designed for bikes that would work good in a 4x4.

I've had some crude home brew cup holders in a few of my vehicles..
My VW Jetta had no cupholders,so I screwed two 2-1/2" conduit clamps to the console,one on each side,about 3" off the floor..worked great,and they were easy to locate in the dark,and out of the way if your feet, and the console compartment..
One plow truck I had was a mess inside,so I didn't care about looks much--former owners dog chewed the dash up,etc..I just used an empty Progresso soup can screwed to the dash for a cupholder!..it worked great,but soon it became a "junk drawer"..you'd be suprised how many things it will hold!..
I soon had 3 cans screwed to the dash,so I could still have my coffee,and carry the trinkets in the other ones..
I think an RV center or Marine supply place will have just what your looking for..I've seen a conversion van with a bathroom type toothbrush holer/cup holder that the owner bought at Lowes,that looked nice,all chrome plated brass!..
