need a lil\' help please from carb guru\'s

i recently bought a 85 quadrajet four barrel from the salvage yard. i was wondering if i can run it with out the electrical sensor hook ups ? it has electrical choke, but i was wondering about the two electrical connections up front.it will be installed on my 79' blazer. will i need the sensors from the salvage yard vehicle also ? thanks in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

you got an electronically controled version. IIRC, those come on K5's circa 1984, 1985 & 1986.

There are non-electronically controlled units in the preceeding years. I have a Q-jet and the only thing that is electrical is the choke, but that is easy enuff to wire up.
