I didn't have time to take the measurement before I left this morning for work, but want to prep during my break time if possible... so :1zhelp:

I need to make a small spacer to space my transmission up from my crossmember just a bit. I have a '90 Blazer w/ the 700r4. I want to put it under the trans. between the rubber mount and the 700-241 adapter.... basically, immediately below these feet:

(this is just a stock image I found online, and not exactly the same.)

From what I understand, a measurement off of an NP208 would be fine too. Can anyone tell me the length of the bottom of the mount, as well as the distance between the bolt holes (center to center, please.) And finally, the diameter of the bolts?

I know this is kinda specific, so I don't know if anyone would be able to help via the internetz.... :)

YOU ROCK! THANKS!!!! I figured this request was something of a long shot. :D I REALLY appreciate it.

The question is why do you need to space the trans/t-case UP? Usuaully they need to be spaced DOWN because of a lift.

due to the lift + front axle wrap when going up hill or on higher throttle, it drives the CV downward into the crossmember, so I'm getting a "thunk thunk thunk...." as the cv spins and hits the crossmember.

If you're still running the stock 700/241 there should be no crossmember in the way of the driveshaft. You do know that even with a 4" lift you NEED to "clearance" the factory CV otherwise it will bind and make noise?

On mine, the crossmember is directly below the CV. I can see the scuff marks.

I had the same problem with mine in the burb. I removed the x-member and clearenced it - no chance of it hitting now. The noise (same thing you describe) was still there :dunno: I know it is no longer hitting. Sometimes it is louder than other times. It sound like something is going to grenade at times, but just while under load with good traction. I have actually tried to break it just so I could find the problem. I bought a spare t-case so that if that is the source of the noise it will be a quick fix.
