Any thoughts on bowtie overdrives "700R4 K-Case Level 2"?

http://bowtieoverdrives.com/catalog/catalog.php?Action=GETSUBCAT&CATID=B

I am looking into buying the k-case level 2 and using it with the TV made EZ kit for my 5.3l. I currently have a high mileage 700r4. When I swapped in the 5.3 and EZ kit I found out my pump was on its way out and the stupid trans shifts horribly and I really feel like it is what is holding back my power and mpg's.

I have been going back and fourth between bowtie and monster.

Really appreciate any advise or previous experiences with either company. The tech I talked to at bowtie was kind of a douche when I was installing my TV made EZ kit. However, he was very knowledgeable and eventually helped me diag. the pump and TV plunger were the problems with how the truck was driving.

I'd go bt over monster... i'll probably run their mvb version in my k5...

They seem to have better prices too. Didn't know if they were lower for a reason, or if monster was overly proud of their transmissions.

Do you think a level 2 BT trans will hold up to a lightly modded 5.3 and 33-36" tires? I know their page lists horse power and torque the trans can hold up with, but with it being 4x4 the extra large tires make me wonder.

the ls 5.3 is it stock efi / computer ?

if so why not swap to a ls version 4l60-e and let the computer control it ?

make for better install and tune ability I think in the end ?

but best to just call them .

lots of guys on here over the years love bowtie overdrives .

my local buddy has few minor parts fitment problems with his monstor but they made it correct asap and he loved it till he sold the burban .

Absolutely agree, hooking the TV cable to the 5.3 would be a pia.

I already have all the setup for the 700r4. Would literally be direct boly in. Not redoing the whole wire harness and tune to run a stock used or stock rebuilt 4L60e. Wife just totalled her DD and is taking mine. Need to get the K5 to DD status quickly.

I have a good friend that got a 700R4 built at Phoenix Transmission in Texas. He was very impressed with it. He said that the price was reasonable, but the performance was great. Maybe they might be an option since they are in the next state from you.

I put a BT level 2 in my 78 blazer. It was great until about 5k miles in, I was in construction going 55 and the oil pump blew itself apart. They fixed it, but it hasn't been the same since. They won't do anything about it. It doesn't shift right now and it gets hot way too fast.
I had a Phoenix Transmission that I had for almost a decade and it performed flawlessly up until the day that I accidentally destroyed it.
I will be using Phoenix for my next couple of 700R4's.
