I have totally been there. Had to get one from McMaster Carr. LMC lists it but doesn't carry it. Fastenal has them but McMaster is cheaper.

Ask me how i figured out it was a left hand thread. :o

I'll bite ... How did you figure it out? :tongue1:

I figured it was frozen in place and twisted the head off. The thought it was a left hand thread never even occurred to me.

And just so you know, I went to the two largest hardware stores in the Las Vegas valley, no one carries a left hander.

Just because you mention length, don't forget that you can always trim one down that is too long. It may open up your search results a bit.

Found this in a quick search http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-20-x-1-...300042?hash=item35ef0440ca:g:EnsAAOSw3ydVwgJN Pricey IMO, but it is left hand.

I like albanycountyfasteners.com but I couldn't find any left hand threaded fasteners in a quick search.

Anyone got a pic of where this evil left hander is? I've not run across it, and am curious...

Seems to me after I "discovered" it was left hand thread , I drilled it out a passed a real bolt all the way through with a nut on the backside. I'm not 100% sure, as this was probably 10+ years ago, but I know I haven't done anything else with that since.
