I have a 1983 chevy k10 stepside...right now its got a 3in body lift and 33s with the stock 10bolts...I am not looking to make this truck crazy as its my show and DD car for our shop and we have a k5 blazer with 44s and its just not that fun to drive haha. I would like to do a 4in lift and put 35s on it (I will be regearing it as well). I was wondering what you suggest for that. I want to do it right the first time and replace anything and everything that would need to be while I am at it. I was thinking of the tc ez ride + a shackle flip but was unsure of exactly what I need to do it properly. My stock suspension is shot and needs to be all replaced (its been sitting in the yard for 4 years now). I do have the extended brakes lines at the house already so I won't need those. I will also need motor mounts.

Thanks

Dan Honovich

wHAT i can tell you they most likely will tell you or at least the way that I have seen working best for most applications is thier 4" shackle flip and a 1" body lift this is good should you decide to go with a doubler later. There front Shackle's right there you are up over three hundo 35" tires are good I am running them on my rig and I drive it every where I also have a 6" lift. Anywho back to you. You will likely need the steering box brace kit. just for good measure. I would recomend anywhere from 4.56 gears (what I have) to 513 gears. The reason I suggest these things is should you decide to go bigger you allready have what you need with out really changing much or haveing to buy more stuff with this set up you can fit up to 40" tires with some triming and not sacrifice mush else.

Later you might add a tourque arm and engine crossmember as well as some other goodies but that should get you started and keep you pleased.

thanks for the advice, thats basically what they suggested as well and going to try and order the stuff this coming week...thanks for you help...

so you really think some 4.56 will be the way to go with 35s I know I am not going higher than 35s on this truck as its still on 10 bolts and we already have a k5 with 44's and I am not about to do that again...

with the 1/2 ton stuff 37" is about as much as they can stand. thats not to say I havent seen some runnin 44's and doing good to. What I have found is 4.56 is great for DD and wheelin some time's I think I have figured out I think I would like a little lower gear for wheelin though. But I Love them. Think next time I change or build I might go 5.13 just because of the ride I have just seen be built. AWESOME on 37's with 5.13 and the same lift set up as mentioned before. But has tourque arm, doubler and other goodies. Soon will debut @ easter Jeep safari in Moab and then long trip to TX
