Up for sale in the vendor forum!

These are polypropylene ropes. They DO stretch just like my yank strap does. They do not absorb water, so they stay nice and light.

Lifetime warranty through my supplier. You pay shipping back and they replace or repair.

UV resistant, diesel fuel, gasoline resistant.

Just about any custom order length is possible. I can get them with rings, only loops... clevises braided into the ends. Custom orders are a little more.

Those look stout !!!

Got a working load rating????
Breaking strength rating ????

I just don't like the idea of having a hunk of steel at the end of any strap,,or rope.
Just my personal opinion.

I guess it would be OK if used with a clevis that can be secured to the attachment points...

Here is the for sale thread. I just wanted to get some more exposure on them so I posted here this one time.

The reason for the rings... with the rope getting to be 2.5" in diameter, it is hard to handle and the rings make it easier to hook onto. These are 75k lb ropes.

I can get them with and without the hoops... can get them with clevisis instead of the hoops, etc.

All kinds of options.

just to clarify, when you say ''only loop'',...you talking about a loop at the end right? not a loop of rope(ends together) or can you get rope in circle?

Sorry... loops at the ends with the abrasion protection around the loop. Like a strap... just made out of rope.

now my real question-can you get 1 w/loop on 1 end and the metal on 1 end?

Yup, any combination you want. Price is a little more if I have to do it as a custom order by itself. If I can get it in with a big order, it would be a little cheaper. But, not by a whole lot.

so two straps say......40' maybe 30'... with metal on 1 end and loop on the other used together could be flipped around anyway.... w/ both metal ends in middlle, or just 1 metal and shackle in middle & loops on out side if it broke wouldn't that metal just fall to the ground? does this stuff stretch & rebound on that stretch? is it not just like barge rope? i've seen it stretch and it doesn't pull back from said stretch?

Wow, thats a long sentence. :D

I dont recommend using any metal at all in the middle of two straps hooking them together. Thats where the dangerous part comes in.

I can make them in any length wanted.

Yes, these stretch like a yank strap. They are designed to work just like a yank strap. Company has been making them for decades, used mostly in the agricultural and construction market. I can get them up to 600,000lbs if you want!

I want nothing to do with the mooring/barge rope. It stretches 30+%... talk about a dangerous situation when it breaks!

yep, barge rope is bad, thats why i asked..& its more of a dead snatch w/o any stretch b/c if it stretches its gonna stay stretched & break..i guess i'll swap to your sale thread now
