As the title implies...

I'm to the point of firing up the K5 in almost a year. I need to know which port is which, vacuum-wise.

The only thing I plan to connect immediately is HEI vacuum advance, PCV and brakes. EGR may or may not make a comeback.

TIA (and yes, I searched... :( )

Took a few pics to splain it for you.The ported "vacuum advance" should only have a vacuum when the throttle is opened.other that that its pick and choose as far as the egr valve if not required by state for get it.Hope it helps!!

That does help...Thanks.

Did you just plug the other ones? I have like 5 on the front of the carb and 2 on the back (one small one above the 3/8" port).

I like where you put your brake booster. I may undo mine and stick it there.

Yea I plugged the other ones off.Plug in the pvc on to one of the 3/8 ones and plug everything else off get it started and then look for the ported vacuum for the dizzy , it's on the front "Vacuum only when you give it some throttle". Yours sounds like it's different than mine but the concept is the same.:D

Well my AFB had a manual and less ports. This thing is Port City, LOL...

I'm not getting spark, but I will today and will verify everything with the vacuum gauge.

IIRC when I was running my smog equipment and my Q-jet, the small port on the back below the vacuum booster port was used for my thermostatic air inlet on my stock air cleaner. Hope that helps.
