Looking for a remote starter for my 2000 ZR2 Blazer. I want something with the LCD screen to show temp and open and close windows and the sun roof. The truck currently has alarm, remote door locks and rear hatch pop (I have no key fob for them though), so I need something that ties into the factory stuff. In-line harnesses are a plus!

Ideas?

WOW I'm slippin... Almost forgot.... PICS!

Try audio section. May get better response. Remote start, windows and rear pop are easy, but I don't know about the temp sensor. Clifford or Avital alarms have always been quality. I would just use a keyless entry module and relays with a timer for the windows, but that takes knowledge of latching relay setups, to be on the cheap. Most local shops should be able to do this for ya. Call around and get some quotes.

I like the "big & little" quality of that photo. I don't suppose you'd have a more side-on shot of the two together, maybe even nose-to-nose? I really enjoyed the resto project pics of the one in the rear.

I might be able take some more tomorrow when I run back home.
I dont have to many pics with these two together, they are usually 65miles apart. I miss my big truck but having the ZR2 in traffic and ont he highway is nice (gas mileage also).

Naw, don't bother about that - I just thought you might have one already on your hard drive. I can find a small S-type Blazer on the street and snap a pic nose to nose with my K5; yours lacks the rust that mine carries for the time being.

Ah, I'm headed home today for a birthday dinner, work on a computer, wont take anything to snap a couple pics when I get home!

Bump for remote starter ideas, name brands, pros/cons...

yeah any dei product is the best on the market: viper, python, avital, etc.

you can use the dei 530t and 529t to control windows and sunroofs. there is also a dei part that will display temp. and timer so the vehicle will start and cool down or warm up, depending on your setup.

I get 16 with my heavy foot around town, 18ish on the highway and 19-20 on trips (it also runs a bit listening to the radio at lunch and warming up).

yep, brand new year old 35" MTR's
put them on without gears, never drove it, got the gears changed the alt went out and I haven't had time to change it or the gear int he transfercase for the speedo, so it sits. Those tires maybe have 50miles on them, 200 on the truck in the last year, 1500 on the truck in the last 2 years :doah:
Same tank of gas for the past year, sat on full for 12-13months, its about half tank now because the folks go out and start it now and then.

I've gotten offers from the neighbor about selling it but I haven't said a price and he has offered a price... if the price was right I'd let it go I think :(

By the way, not to hijack any further, but are those 35" tires on that K5?
