Hi folks,

One of my front wheel bearings went on my 72 Blazer and ruined the hub and the spindle. The shop that's working on it can't find a replacement for the spindle.

Does anybody know where I could find one? If not is there a way to make another year's work?

I would think any d44 chevy spindle would work, maybe even 10 bolt, someone here should be able to be sure. Can't be too hard to find

Here's the link to the material list and D44 manual. Find the number on the left axle tube and match it up with the one listed and after a while this thing will make sense.

If you converted to an 8 lug you use the Jeep D44 spindle, I'm still looking for the part number if I find I'll edit to include.

Any chevy spindle up to mid 1976 will work, (need to measure the inner bearing diameter to make sure it's the same as yours) IIRC the early spindles used an inner bearing with a 1.75" ID. Mid 1976 and later GM changed the inner bearing ID to 2" and that would also require a different wheel hub to match.

You dont happen to have the part number for the larger bearing model you can pust here do you?

Part number for the bearing? I can get that number but i have no idea on a part number for the spindle if that's what you mean.

I was thinking the spindle as I have the bearing part no.

About a year ago I came accross an article from a jeep site explaining the differences and part numbers etc on the spindles but I'll be damn if I can find it now.

Thanks for all the info

I passed it along and they think they have something that will work now.

Appreciate your help.
