What is the torque value on the nuts holding the rear transmission mount to the crossmember?? Just replaced mine and snapped the bolt with a 3/8 ratchet

I dont see a spec in my book for it, but I would say about 20-30 ft/lb. I cant believe you snapped the bolt. Is it grade 8? I know mine is.

Ive got an Energy Suspension mount, and it has 2 bolts that go through the crossmember to the mount.

If I remember right.......that would be a 7/16 bolt ( a 5/8 socket fits it ) and should torque to 40-45 ft. lbs.........original one must have been getting weak

Thanks.

Its a brand spankin new NAPA mount made in India
Guess I got the good stuff.

Yes, its the 7/16 studs with locknuts. Felt like it was starting to snug up, then snap!

My manual has a 40 ft/lb for a "Manual" trans but nothing for Auto trans. Have to assume its the same. Hope NAPA replaces it. If not, Ill go somewhere else.
