need a winch?????????

do you need a winch but the wife wont let you buy one? i was in your shoes but this is how i talked her into letting me buy one
step 1: take wife and kids out 4x4ing
step 2: go through mudputle(sp?) in 2 wheel drive no problem
step 3: go to end of trail and turn around still in 2 wheel drive
step 4: go through same mudputle and get sucked into deep ruts
step 5: get out dig out the mud wall and lock hubs and put into 4 low
step 6: no luck you are stuck
step 7: spend one and a half hours trying to dig and use high lift to get out nope stile stuck did i meantion you need to be out in the bonies and 10 miles from the main road oh and forget comalong at home
step 8: leave wife and kids with truck and start walking to get help and walk 8 and a half miles 2 and a half hours latter find someone with a 4x4 to pull you out.
step 9: tell her see this is why I NEED A WINCH
anyway that is my story on how i talked my wife into letting me buy a winch lol

i did this when i was out hunting and yes i am still working on the 38's. but she is telling me i thought the winch would take care of that now you need 38's why? lol now i need ideas to tell her why i need both any ideas?

Step 11) take her out again and get it high centered on a big mother of a rock in the middle of no-where. Preferably somewhere the winch won't be able to help you. Tell her its a ground clearance thing.....

"But Honey, wouldn't you feel so much more secure if I had awesome ground clearance AND a winch???"

Good luck, it sounds lame to me, maybe your wife will believe it....

Yes Honey, I do see that.... I already figured that was next! But where are you gonna find mud like that around here? Maybe sand, yes I can see that, but mud, ugh! I don't want to be the one cleaning it afterwards! But I have already prepared myself for the addition, maybe the easter bunny will bring you a nice winch... never know......
