need advice fast please

i have to move kind of fast if im to buy this truck
85 k5 with 305v8 not sure of the tranny or trans case
never driven a 305 how does it compare to a 350 power/gas consumption
basic stock engine 110 thou miles not ragged out
auto trans
dont have real specifics on motor just lookingfor a general idea what to expect from driving it

305 isnt the best on performance/gas consumption. i havent driven a truck with a 305 but ive been in a monte carlo with a 305, nothing to write home about. whats the price, and condition of the rest of the truck?

85 is a smog dog and with a 305 i'm sure it won't go anywhere too fast.

I have a 305 in my k5. The motor will get you from Point A to Point B. Its a decent motor. Dont expect to win any races with it though. I mud with the motor and hasnt let me down yet. Hell it put down enough tq to snap an axle shaft.

If the price is right I would jump on the truck. I wouldn't be scared of it just because its a 305. Sounds like that motor has a lot of lift left in it. When it goes then drop in a 350.

body very solid for a northern truck, minimal rust, good floor pans, 4 inch lift, underbody clean, good glass, good interior, newer exhaust, pretty good shape all around, didnt see any oil leaks, guy wants $2500 0b0
