I have an '87 K5 Jimmy with a 350 that needs to have the TBI body replaced due to the holes for the butterfly valve shaft being worn out of round. I would like to stay with a stock performance level or as close as possible. The motor itself is stock internally with the only changes being headers and EGR delete. I am seeking advice from anyone who has replaced theirs and had success with a similar setup. I am unsure of the best way to go: stock or aftermarket, recommended retailer, etc. Any help is appreciated.

Morse performance will take yours as a core for a rebuilt one. May be the most cost effective way

Thank you! I checked out the Morse website then looked around on the forum and found no bad reviews. That's probably the way I'm going to go. Thanks again.

That's great to hear. I ordered a Throttle body and a few other items this morning and everyone's input makes me feel good with my decision. I got scammed pretty bad for two sets of wheels a few years back and ever since then I am wary of ordering through suppliers that I haven't used before. Luckily, I've learned since then that info and advice sharing like this is of the great things about forums like this one. Thanks again to all of you!

Here is an image of the my TBI that I had Vic Morse build for me. I got an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with mine (set at 13 PSI) because I am running a slightly bigger cam than stock, and got a set of EP377 AC/DELCO fuel pumps in the saddle tanks that put out a max 30 PSI. My TBI performs like a champ.
