whats the difference between the shifters???

one is 3/4" longer then the other at the end that goes in the top of the trans.

which one is the correct one for the cast iron top (and when you say aluminum top, you are talking about where the top the shifter snaps into correct).
and i should just be able to lay them side by side and see a difference correct?

The cast one is the shorter one. when I say alum. top I mean the top of the trans that holds the shift forks is alum. I think you should but not 100% sure I have never had to side by side.
