AND GROUNDHWGS ARE THE BESTEST TIRES EVER BAR NONE YOU SIMPERING DOLTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're an audio snob Z3PR !

I'm sure to an audiophile it's worth it, but think rationally here, not everyone needs to hear the nuances of guitar bends in every single song

Speaking of which, why don't you have a custom build $120,000 rock buggy on custom tires and cryod mod axles? I mean, it's the best!

[/ QUOTE ] Simple answer why I don't, ...... $$$$$

I guess its bash me day for not having enough money to buy the most expensive stuff on the market and wanting to use what I have? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

[/ QUOTE ] No bashing intended. I think I did say run what you have for now, and save up for the better stuff. Hell, I can't afford the Treo's I really want, but I will get them sooner or later.

[/ QUOTE ] I hear ya. It's hard having too pay bills before you can build the toys. I've got sevreal things going on and can only invest a little at a time. I've been gathering parts for both the K5 and the El Camino. Pretty soon I'll start gathering parts for the Corvette. I'm planning on moving next spring/summer so I've got the K5 up for sale. Oh well, I will buy a first gen after the move.

Re: Need Audio Guru\'s Help plz!

Give me a day and I'll refresh my memory.
But another way to stablelize the amp would be to add another sub.
OR,
Goto a decent audio shop and tell them you need to stablelize your amp at 4 ohms and all you got is 3, they can give you an answer if they are decent.

Re: Need Audio Guru\'s Help plz!

i have done car audio professionally for over 12 years and have never seen a amp thats min. load changes - ever - regardless of x-over settings.

MA is made overseas, and I will bet who translated the manual, was having a bad day.....they mean if you bridge the amp it is 4 ohm stable. 2 ohm stereo is the same thing as 4 ohm mono - 1 ohm stereo is the same as two ohm mono etc ....

I still want that damn 1 ohm resistor!!!! Louder is better baby!

[/ QUOTE ] Adding a 1 ohm resistor will only decrease the volume. You would be losing 25% of the power in the resistor as wasted heat. Do you realize the size of the resistor you would need to be able to handle that kind of power? Not to mention the fan you'd need to put on it to keep it cool. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
