502, what size/type tubing are you using? Are you running a bushing in the outriggers? Cage looks SWEET! The wiring looks like fun

Thanks, Borrego! It's always nice to know that the hard work is appreciated by others.

Take care,

Thanks, BIGJ! The tubing is 2" for all the major tubes, 1.5" for the smaller tubes in the roof section and 1" on all the jumpers. AFAIK, the tubing is DOM, although I admit that when I had it built I didn't know much about that stuff and it could be HREW for all I know.

All the outriggers are mounted with urethane bushings and Grade 8, 1/2"-13 bolts with nylock nuts.

Yeah, wish I'd moved the wiring out of the way before taking the photos.

Oh well, it really isn't as bad as it looks as it's a Painless Wiring harness. They are all color coded and pretty easy to wire up. Should be fun though.

Artist is right! Very apt description of a local guy named Bob Neibert. He does beautiful work, I think. The cage wasn't cheap, but I believe that (most of the time) you get what you pay for. I didn't have access to a tubing bender, and can't weld well enough to be comfortable with undertaking something as crucial to survival as a complete cage. Rather have an expert do it so my family and I will survive the potential rollover. I can say that I don't regret the expense one bit!

Nope; not done yet.
