I hired a contortionist to remove the leaking water pump from my 92 Chevy G20 Van, and now it's time to put the new one on and everything back together. The major problem is that I can only get one hand in from the top OR bottom, so I can hold the pump in place but can't tighten the bolt with a second hand...
I've done enough small block chevy water pumps that I could probably do it in the dark, but this is the first one I've done where there's no room to work...
Has anyone else had to do this and if so how did you manage it??? I'm thinking I may have to take the radiator and shroud out but that may not even give me enough clearance to get my second arm in there...
