Thnx

I forgot about yours. Yours is bad arse too. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Any more pics of the bumper on the Air Force 3+3? That is along the line of what I am looking at making. More pics and measurements would be great.

BTW I am all about more crew cabs getting some attention. Too much goes to the 'burbs as fun vehicle with enough room for more than two or three guys.

My truck didn't have any of the typical military bumpers on it. It did come with a Ramsey winch bumper on the front but I don't know if the Air Force did it or the civilian car lot that I bought it from did. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif The rear bumper was a standard step bumper but it did have a piece of 1/4" plate reinforcing the back side of the tag area (no pintle hook though).

Okay, well anymore pics of the front bumper? Just looking for general shape for it I have a grill/brush guard designed but need some ideas for the shape of the actual bumper part. Thanks!

I had an air force 3+3.
They are just civilian trucks with no options and special blue paint. 12V systems, 4.10 open diffs and np205 t-cases.

Your a lucky one!
You have a '91 with 4L80E, mine was an '88 with TH400/np205.

My truck is like John's truck, but it is a civilian Silverado model. I like the full gauge package, and the top of the line Delco stereo it came with, but the power windows and locks BLOW.

John had to cyber slap me a couple of times about what drive train my truck had under the hood because this truck, I just bought, is the first GM truck I have owned in the last 8 years, and I was not familiar with the 4L80E transmission.

1991 Chevrolet V/3500 3+3 Crew Cab P/U

Engine: 5.7

Transmission: 4L80E

Transfer Case: NP 205

Front Diff: Dana 60 Ratio: 4:10

Rear Diff: Corp 14 Bolt FF Ratio: 4:10

List of GM trucks owned in my life...

1. 1968 C20 Chevrolet suburban (396 Engine)

2. 1976 GMC K35 4X4 P/U

3. 1976 GMC K35 4X4 Dualie P/U

4. 1978 C25 P/U

5. 1978 Chevrolet K20 4X4 P/U

6. 1993 Chevrolet K30 4X4 Dualie Crew Cab P/U

7. 1991 Chevrolet V3500 4X4 Crew Cab P/U

Nah, no cyber slaps, we just talked about it a couple of times. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Somebody on here had a crewcab they whacked the roof off, moved the axle up close to the cab, and hacked off the rest of the frame. It was two-tone red & white; on 38s I think. Trying to think who it was... /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Mine's shortened up to fit a 6-1/2' loggers box. Not going any shorter since I have a bush camper I plan to use. Its half torn apart now; will be installing a diesel, lift springs, extra t-case, rear disc, and a PTO winch as time/$$$ permit.

Here's an older pic

If they did not exist, then why can I buy parts for one? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
