i recently pulled my trans out to uprade my torque conv. to a 2200 stall, and now after i put that back in and getting ready to put tranfer case back in after an checkup, i have hit a snag. would be great if someone could throw some ideas out the for me. the 2 bolt holes on the cross member under the adapter are not lining up with the adapter. aside form drilling the holes bigger on the cross member i dont know what to do. they are only off maybe an 1/8th of an inch. like i said any ideas you have let me know. i am in a time crunch to get it driving again because my apt comlex wants to tow my 72 blazer out of here unless i can prove it runs and drives. driving is hard to do with no driveshafts in
thanks for the help

If you are installing the same drivetrain that you pulled, something is wrong that needs to be fixed other than drilling holes. Torque converter not seated right, bellhousing not bolted solidly, bad motor mounts, something that has moved the transmission.

If they are only off 1/8 of an inch just use a pry bar to manuver it back where it needs to be. Doesn't sound like anything is wrong- just slightly misaligned. It happens.

I would agree with prying it into place. Like dyeager said, your motor mounts are probably worn and allowing movement.

Something similar happened to me, some of the bolts on the motor mount werent as tight as I thought they should be. Loosened them up and one good double footed jacki chan kick to the back of the motor to move it forward a bit and everything lined up fine. If you look at the bottom of the motor mount you will see what bolts I am talking about
