Need drum brake \"phantom\" part . . . please help

Hey all. Giving it my first try to see if this forum is worth the membership fee. It seems like an awesome site. Anyway, I have a 76 Blazer 4x4 with rear drums. I am replacing the wheel cylinders, but I managed to lose one of the two "wheel cylinder pushrods" as the Chilton's calls it when it shot out of the pressurized cylinder. No one seems to have these or knows where to get them. There doesn't even seem to be a part number for it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You may have to buy a wheel cylinder rebuild kit to get your lost part. Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yup, a salvage yard or someone on this board who has swapped to rear-discs is your best bet.

I know what you mean, though. I wanted to replace those little rods but had a heck of a time finding them, so I just re-used the old rusty ones.

I understand that you can steal them , and I would maybe. Just wanted to see where he was at. If he somehow happened to be close enough to save shipping, I have complete 12 bolt rear brakes ( minus drums ). And would offer them up to any ck5er FREE /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
