I am getting a little discouraged with the Blazer that I even considered selling it for now and getting a motorcycle. What does everyone else do when slow projects get them down?

Ya just have to be dedicated to it no matter what. I have been building my truck for probably 5 years. Still getting at it and still want to. Why are you getting discouraged?

Leave it in the garage (if it fits), pile crap on top of it, inside of it, and along side of it...
then...

thats how i have avoided selling my landcruiser for the last couple of years. Feels kind of like an anchor around my neck, but pretty ****in cool as far as anchors go...

dont buy into all the dana 60 14b bs and put some tires and a little lift with some sawzall and go wheel it. If its money, heck dont worry about it, the money will come someday. But if your just building to over build, stop and wheel it. mine has been put on hold a few times due to money, but I just keep plugging away at some of the small things now. Beerchris put that in my head![]()
i should be focusing on having fun with it.I get OCD about always feeling like I need the biggest baddest parts out there.
That is why my toyota is still in the garage and not out on the trails... Spent 2 years gathering parts, and now so out of steam that I don't want to put it together. Meanwhile the Blazer has been getting driven, broken, rebuilt, beaten on, improved, rebroken, driven some more...
Actually, that truck has really impressed me with the amount of abuse you can put into some of the smaller stuff...
I think I could squeeze it in there if I left my new DD out in the drive.
. I LOVE the build too. It's the machinist in me. As much as I get frustrated at times for not having the money or time or whatever, I LOVE my K5 and WILL finish it someday. It's my goal to go wheel it with my son and for him to see the time and dedication it takes to do what I'm doing. I show him all the parts I make and how I make them. He always digs it when I show him. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=263098
Builder brunout here...
Wheelin is the answer, and stock is just as fun.

LOLYep. I've spent thousands and thousands on vehicles and never wheeled them or enjoyed them as much as others I've just driven and had available at a moment's notice.yeah man, we all get that way sometimes. Just remember that wheeling on 33's or even stock is still hella fun. and if youre on a budget, try not to bite off alot at once and end up with a pile of parts without the funds needed to advance with the project.
If only I could learn from the times Ive tried to do too much at once.
